A Vintage View This cool shop makes use of the entire top floor of the old Linker Hotel and is set up like a house with eight themed rooms filled with vintage treasures.

The quaint old elevator at the end of the hall in the historic Lynne Tower, on downtown's Main Street, ends its journey at the eighth floor. The doors peel back, and visitors step into my dream. A Vintage View is a sprawling shop making use of the entire top floor of the old Linker Hotel. It is set up like a house with eight themed rooms - including a man's study, children's nursery, garden room,

a bedroom suite, and a kitchen, just to name a few. Each room is filled floor to ceiling with vintage & antique home decor and furnishings. It is a unique spot, with expansive views that one of downtown La Crosse's tallest buildings reveals, through its many windows. I have been collecting for as long as I can remember - having learned everything I know from my mama, Martha Grimes. I have always loved shopping at flea markets, rummage sales and estate sales. The store is an eclectic mix of unique treasures that I have stumbled upon! You may find an old liquior decanter or a piece of artwork, a pretty piece of costume jewelry or a tea set. A variety of vintage hats or maybe a children's book. An antique chair, a trunk, an old music instrument, an apron, a painted umbrella, a picture frame or a collectible plate or a lamp. I buy what I like! And I also like to repurpose things. I like taking old treasures and giving them a "facelift". The old bones are just better, in my opinion, than the new stuff! I hope people come in and fall in love with the store and maybe find that one piece they simply, can't live without.
