DESERT WILLOWS: The flowers are not just beautiful—they are a magnet for hummingbirds, butterflies, and bees. Stand near a blooming Desert Willow for a few minutes and you'll quickly discover it has become the neighborhood gathering place for every pollinator within a few zip codes. The bees arrive with a level of enthusiasm usually reserved for fiber festivals. Best of all, once established, Desert Willows require very little supplemental water, proving that some of the most sustainable plants are also the most beautiful. Sometimes nature really does know best.

What fun this fabric was to create!
We started with Climate Beneficial™ verified cotton, added 30% domestically grown h**p for strength and durability, and finished it with a 100% Climate Beneficial™ verified wool warp.
The result? A beautiful towel that surprises people every time they use it. While cotton is known for absorbency, wool naturally manages moisture, and h**p contributes exceptional strength and longevity. Together, these three natural fibers create a towel that is not only highly absorbent but also durable enough to serve your home for years to come.
Sometimes the most remarkable textiles come from combining nature’s best fibers. In this case, cotton, wool, and h**p work together to create a sustainable, hardworking towel that is as beautiful as it is functional.

I have been absolutely awe-struck by the cactus blooms this year. This is a beautiful example of a healthy Cholla Cactus, often called the "Coyote Candle."
More than just a striking plant, Cholla cacti provide food and shelter for pollinators, birds, and other desert wildlife, making them an important part of our Southwestern ecosystem.
Do they bloom every year? Usually, yes. Healthy Cholla cacti produce beautiful spring blooms, with flowering influenced by rainfall and growing conditions.
How long do they live? Many Cholla cacti thrive for decades.
What kind of care do they need? Very little. Once established, they are remarkably drought tolerant and well adapted to life in the desert.
Native plants like Cholla remind us that beauty, resilience, and sustainability often go hand in hand.
