✨ Project Spotlight: A Beautiful Balance in Alpine

A beautiful flooring transformation starts long before the new flooring goes down!

For this Alpine home, our team removed a combination of existing carpet, tile, and luxury vinyl to make way for a fresh, coordinated look throughout the living spaces.

The homeowners selected Paradigm Insignia LVP in Cashmere, a warm, natural wood-look flooring with beautiful grain detail. Its inviting tones complement the home's wood cabinetry, granite countertops, and neutral walls, creating a seamless look through the kitchen and adjoining spaces.

For the carpeted areas, Shaw Elemental Mix in Bridle Leather brings softness and comfort, with a warm neutral color that pairs beautifully with the new LVP.

But there's more to this project than the finished floors!

After removing the existing flooring, our team completed extensive subfloor preparation, including applying self-leveling underlayment to create the flat, smooth surface needed for the new LVP installation. It's a step that isn't always visible in the finished photos, but it's an important part of a quality flooring installation.

✨ Product Spotlight: Mohawk Medella Fleck

Yesterday we shared a medical office flooring transformation in Solana Beach featuring Mohawk Medella Fleck sheet vinyl. Today, we're taking a closer look at why this type of flooring is such a practical choice for healthcare environments! 🏥

Unlike individual planks or tiles, sheet flooring comes in wide rolls, allowing large areas to be covered with fewer seams. Those seams can also be heat-welded, creating a more continuous surface that helps prevent moisture and contaminants from getting beneath the flooring. This is especially important in healthcare settings, where frequent cleaning, infection control, and long-term durability are priorities.

Medella Fleck is a homogeneous resilient sheet flooring, meaning its construction is consistent throughout the material rather than relying on a separate decorative wear layer. It also features Mohawk's M-Force™ Ultra Technology for added surface protection.

✨ Project Spotlight: Flooring Designed for Healthcare

Not every flooring project is residential! For this medical office in Solana Beach, our team replaced the existing flooring with Mohawk Medella Fleck, a commercial resilient sheet flooring designed for healthcare environments.

Unlike traditional plank or tile flooring, commercial sheet flooring can be installed with fewer seams. For this project, our team heat-welded the seams to create a continuous, moisture-resistant surface that's easier to clean and maintain, an important consideration in healthcare settings.
