Marci Newkirk of Orcas in the Mist is an enrolled member of the Cowlitz Indian Tribe. She creates her pieces mainly from fish skin leather. She also has a wide range of mediums including: beads, fur, antler, and shells. She has a strong personal connection to the Salish Sea & Columbia River.
