For years I’ve only been able to knit squares or rectangles (so basically a lot of scarves). I love knitting, find it super meditative, and almost always have a ball of yarn and needles with me during kids’ sports, practices and lessons. It always surprises me how interested kids are in my knitting, and how frequently they ask if I can knit a scarf for them also. So, figuring out how to do ‘stripes’ or a ribbed texture was a big deal this year! Super excited to have just finished this cute lightweight scarf for my lovely girl, and I am crushing hard on the ombré effect of the yarn. 😍 This project courtesy of one small ball of yarn ($1.99!), a “Lil’ Dollop” that my girl picked out because she loved the colors of it while we perused the yarn section at Hobby Lobby.
