Some people come to a workshop to make something pretty. And somewhere along the way, they become part of the Art & Hammer family. ❤️

This sweet lady has joined us for four or five classes now, and every time she walks through our door, she brings a smile and a little encouragement with her.

When we opened Art & Hammer Co., we had a dream of creating a place where people could gather, create, learn something new, and enjoy being together. What we didn’t know was just how special some of the friendships made along the way would become.

She’s been more than a customer. She’s been a friend, a cheerleader, and a faithful supporter of our little studio and the dreams behind it.

And I hope she knows how much that means to us.

Small businesses don’t grow on dreams alone. They grow because of people who believe in those dreams enough to keep showing up.

Thank you for showing up for us, for creating with us, and for being part of our story.

And just look at that adorable snowman! ☃️

Come paint your own wooden snowman—perfect for the porch, by the fireplace, in an entryway, or anywhere you need a little snowy cheer.

And remember, you choose the colors! Make his scarf traditional Christmas colors, keep him rustic, or give him a little personality like we did.

Same project. Two completely different looks. 🍂

One of my favorite things about Art & Hammer is that you don’t have to make yours look exactly like mine—or anybody else’s!

These two “Fall for Jesus — He Never Leaves” signs started with the same design, but a simple change in ribbon gives each one its own personality.

That’s what we want you to do when you come create with us. Pick your colors. Change the ribbon. Make it fit your home and your style.

And best of all, this one is a sweet little reminder for the season:

So…what exactly IS Art & Hammer Co.? That’s a question we get more often than you might think!

“Is this one of those stencil places?”

Yes…but we’re so much more than that!

We absolutely offer stencil projects, but we also offer beginner watercolor classes with Gina, hand-painted and guided art classes, custom stencil and design help, freehand and acrylic painting guidance—and we’re always working on new things to add!

“How do I know when you’re open?”

We post a monthly calendar right here on Facebook with our scheduled workshops and classes. But if you have a question, just reach out to Alicia, Gina, or Macky and we’ll be happy to help!

“What if I can’t come on one of the dates on the calendar?”

That’s okay! Reach out to us. If we can work with your schedule, we will. You can also plan a private workshop with a few friends, your family, coworkers, church group—or just come create with us!

Art & Hammer was never meant to be just a place to make a sign.

It’s a place to gather & create. A place to try something new, learn something you didn’t think you could do, spend time with people you enjoy, and maybe even make a few new friends along the way.

And we’re just getting started. 😊

I want to introduce you to someone pretty special. ❤️

I’ve known Jamie Patterson’s family since before Jamie was even born, but it’s only recently that she and I have become friends. And what a sweet friend she has been! She has supported me, encouraged me, and shown so much kindness to me and to Art & Hammer Co., so I wanted to return a little of that generosity and tell you about what she does.

Jamie hand crochets these beautiful pumpkins, and what makes everything she creates even more special is that she prays over every piece she makes. Her little business is called Stitched with Prayer, which I think is just perfect.

And if these pumpkins look familiar, they should! This is the actual set of four pumpkins I chose for our Art & Hammer Facebook giveaway! They were handmade by Jamie, and I thought they were just perfect for it.

Jamie doesn’t have a separate business page just yet, but you can contact her through her personal page, Jamie Patterson, if you’re interested in something handmade by her. I’ll tag her so you can find her easily.

I’m thankful for these beautiful pumpkins, but even more thankful for the sweet friendship that came along with them. ❤️
