Today marks 20 years since I became the owner of Sharon’s Flowers, and it feels like the perfect time to reflect on this incredible journey.
While I’ve owned the shop for 20 years, my story with Sharon’s Flowers began much earlier. I started working here in October of 1994 when I was just 15 years old. What started as an after-school job quickly became a passion and, eventually, a lifelong career.
Sharon’s Flowers first opened its doors in November of 1989, and for more than 36 years, this shop has been part of the fabric of our community. I have been fortunate to witness and be a part of much of that history—from learning the basics as a teenager to having the honor of carrying the business forward as its owner.
Over the years, we’ve helped celebrate weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, proms, new babies, holidays, and so many other joyful occasions. We’ve also had the privilege of creating meaningful tributes during times of loss and remembrance. Being trusted with life’s most important moments is something I never take for granted.
To our customers, employees, friends, family, and community—thank you. Your support, loyalty, and encouragement have made these 20 years possible. I am incredibly grateful for every order placed, every kind word shared, and every person who has walked through our doors.
Sharon’s Flowers has been part of my life for more than 31 years, and I am so thankful for the opportunity to continue its legacy.
