Portrait Day is a week from tomorrow, and here is the one thing worth planning ahead.

The set is warm and earthy, so fall colors photograph beautifully against it. Rust, olive, mustard, cream, deep brown, denim. Solid colors give you the most timeless result, and busy graphic prints tend to pull attention
away from the face.

Saturday, September 12, 10am to 2pm at the apothecary. Chance still has slots open, and walk-ins are welcome all afternoon.

Two weeks ago, we broke ground on the final phase of restoration at the schoolhouse. It was one of the most meaningful days we have had here, and I wanted to share it with you.

Before the next chapter of work began, we walked through the building together. In this video, I take you room by room through the 1904 Bloomfield Schoolhouse, sharing the history of each space, the details we are carefully preserving, and what we envision for every room when the work is complete.

The final restoration is expected to wrap up in November. After all these years of slow and patient work, it is hard to put into words what it feels like to be this close.

Thank you for being part of this journey with us. This building belongs to so many more people than just Greg and me, and we are grateful to be sharing it with you.

So much has already happened in this old building, and now we’re getting ready to really gear things up. There’s still so much to come, and we’re so excited to bring you along as this place continues to take shape.

And then there’s this moment…

Seeing so many people from our community gathered in front of the schoolhouse for the groundbreaking will live on replay in my head forever. What a special moment to have captured, and such a beautiful reminder of how many people are cheering this little dream on. ♥️

One of our little apothecary favorites for good reason. 🫧

For the hour before bed. Greg spent years as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist watching people struggle to wind down. Silent Night Sleep Spray came out of that.

Four boxes. Four seasons.We are not stopping at fall. Every season we will build a new box around a new scent, made once and not repeated. The chai will be gone by winter. Whatever comes next will be gone by spring. That is on purpose.

The Seasonal Box sends you one automatically, four times a year, at $72 a box instead of $80. No remembering to order, and no worrying about the hundred selling out before you get to it.

We took our own lavender and blended it with real chai spice. Cinnamon bark, cardamom, clove, nutmeg, anise, and vanilla. Not a fragrance oil made to smell like chai, the actual spices.

The Chai Harvest Box has seven pieces in it. Body wash and lotion, a room spray, an oil roller, a lip balm, a candle from Lindsay at Lighthearted Candle Company, and a tea from Amy at Everyday Herbal. Three of those seven are made only for this box.
