The biggest changes in a home often start with rethinking the layout itself.

For our Las Lunas project, we reconfigured the flow of the home entirely. The original living room became the new dining room, creating a layout that feels more connected and intentional for everyday living.

We also designed the entry to feel like more of a moment. Not just a transition space, but an experience that sets the tone for the home through proportion, detail, and materiality.

These are the decisions that shape how a home feels long before the finishes are installed.

A well layered combination typically includes:

• patterns combination
• contrast in texture and color

The instinct is often to start over.

But sometimes the more interesting work starts with restraint.

This dining room already had the foundation…architectural details, original De Gournay wallpaper, a classic chandelier and a family heirloom dining table.

Instead of redoing, we refined it. We updated textiles, introduced texture and contrast, added modern lighting to recalibrate the room without competing with it.

It’s not always about doing more.

It’s about knowing what carries the story forward, and what quietly supports it.
