Getting back into work mode has been… well, a whole event. 😂
The boys are back in school, my honey is away at work, and it’s just me and my sweet little Apollo with a festival coming up in February.
Sounds like plenty of time, right?
That’s adorable. Time moves at approximately 47 times its normal speed when you have a baby, a business, and an ADD brain. 🧠☕️
So this morning, I woke up, had my cup of Joe, took care of Apollo, and felt my creative gears finally start turning again.
Now, I only have approximately 1,000 unfinished maps waiting patiently in my art room. Naturally, I marched right in there and finished them.
Just kidding. Absolutely not. 😂
Instead, my good ol’ ADD brain said, “You know what we need? A brand-new idea!”
A while back, I was incredibly blessed with an entire kitchen-modeling showroom’s worth of material for laser engraving which means my garage is currently packed with cabinet fronts just waiting for a second life. I’ve spent months wondering what I could create with them without starting a whole new product line.
Because, clearly, I do not need another product line.
So I stayed true to what I love most: my maps. I started experimenting, playing around, and created this—a completely new map style made from repurposed showroom pieces. Each one will have its own character, shape, details, and story, making every map truly one of a kind.
It feels so good to be creating again, finding my rhythm, and getting excited about what’s coming next even if finding my groove apparently meant ignoring
1,000 unfinished projects to
begin number 1,001. 🤷♀️😂
Please let me know your thoughts and opinions on this. I live to see what yall think!
I have another one almost done will post soon.
