Wednesday Tile Tips ✨ Keep that shower looking new
A beautiful tile shower only stays beautiful if you treat it right. Here’s what we tell customers after we install one:
1. Squeegee after every shower. 30 seconds. Removes most of the water that turns into soap scum and hard-water spots.
2. Know your tile. Ceramic and porcelain can handle a vinegar mix. Natural stone (marble, travertine, limestone) needs a pH-neutral cleaner only — acid will etch it.
3. Vinegar spray (ceramic/porcelain only): equal parts white vinegar + warm water. Spray, wait 10–15 minutes, wipe, rinse, dry.
4. Grout paste: baking soda + a little water. Let it sit 15 minutes, then scrub with a soft nylon brush or old toothbrush.
5. Ventilate and dry. Run the fan during and after the shower. Leave the door open. Moisture is what grows mold.
6. Weekly reset. A daily shower spray (or that vinegar mix) after the last shower of the week keeps buildup from winning.
