Why on God’s green earth do I purchase such heavy items to carry on back to Charleston!

It’s not like we don’t have old books in our neck of the woods!

Please tell me I’m not the only one who does this…..every trip.

I’m returning to gfs roots…..making jewelry and repurposing vintage/antique findings.

Just finished putting together a charm necklace filled with the most special treasures.

Necklace includes a cameo from her grandmother, an antique compass from her husband, charms from gfs, and her personal collection.

The chain was created by combining 2 antique watch chains and findings from a Victorian necklace.

I could make these all day long!
I’m trying to source more watch chains to create more necklaces. They are not the easiest to find!

Stay tuned!

What a conversation piece!
Abel Pifre (1852-1928) was a French engineer and created this one of a kind piece.

The history of this elevator has got to be incredible.
Who brought it over from France?
