We carry handcrafted jewelries, arts, cotton and silk clothing, bags, Tibetan Buddhist Arts: Statues,Thankas, musical instruments, books and antiques. Scarves, post cards, photographs and various gifts. Established in 1987. We are Sonam Zoksang and Kathryn Culley, the proprietors of Vision of Tibet. Family run since 1987, Vision of Tibet specializes in the finest handicrafts from Tibet, Nepal, an

d India. Whenever possible these are made by Tibetan artisans, and almost always from family-run businesses. We carry no merchandise made in China, as we don't support the government that has so brutally repressed Tibetans since the 1950s. Sadly, after 20 years, we have lost our NYC shop. It was the oldest Tibetan handicrafts store in New York City until we closed on February 4th 2009. The building was sold last year and we were forced out.

**NEW! Good news! We are proud to announce our Hudson Valley venture, Vision of Tibet - Rosendale, and Lake Placid which opened in 2009
