Summer's winding down, and I'm already thinking about the projects I get to start this fall. If you've got a space that's ready for a change, let's talk about it. Book a free consultation at bdsinteriordesign.com/contact, I'd love to hear about your project.

I've spent decades doing this work, and my philosophy hasn't changed much. Design should be functional, it should be beautiful, and most of all it should feel like you. That's what I aim for with every single client I work with, whether it's a w**e country estate or a small office refresh.

The last step in my process is Ex*****on. I manage procurement and installation myself, and I hold every detail to a standard I'd want in my own home. Honestly, it's still my favorite part of the whole process. It's the moment months of planning finally turns into a real space you get to walk into.

Napa Valley estates. Sonoma tasting rooms. Mendocino coastal retreats. Lakeport homes near the water. I've spent decades learning what makes each of these places different, from the way the light hits a room to which materials actually hold up in the local climate. That local knowledge shapes every single project I take on across Northern California.

W**e country hospitality really has a couple different personalities. Cozy boutique inn vibes, or sleek resort style luxury? One of my favorite projects, the Vermeil W**es tasting room, leaned into a warm, story driven feel built around a custom grapevine sculpture and bar. Which style do you gravitate toward for the kind of experience you'd want as a guest? Let me know below.

Beautiful spaces rarely happen overnight! If you want to transform your home but are concerned about the upfront cost, a phased design approach is the perfect solution.

Tell me what's on your mind. A kitchen that finally works for your family, a boutique inn refresh, or a new medical office that feels calmer for patients walking in. I've designed all of it, and I'd genuinely love to hear what you're dreaming up. Send me a message and let's start talking about it, no pressure, just a conversation.

A client once told me I'm "thoughtful and thorough and an excellent listener." Honestly, that's the compliment that means the most to me. Some of my favorite projects, like a pediatric dental office built around a custom train mural, only came together because I really listened to what that provider wanted kids to feel walking through the door. Listening well is where good design actually starts, every time.

By the time we reach what I call the Design phase, the guesswork is basically gone. Floor plans are locked in, materials are chosen, and every drawing gets approved before anyone breaks ground. I know it's not the most exciting part to talk about, but it's exactly what keeps a project on time and on budget later on. I want you to know precisely what you're getting into before work ever begins.
