Dahlia digging has begun this week!
This started weeks ago when each plant was labelled with a code that was then matched to a picture. Each stem was then labeled for future digging.
The tubers are being dug up this week, hosed off, trimmed and left to dry for a day or two.
After that I split the tubers and wrap each one in plastic wrap, labeling them. Where they will then be placed in a box and put in a cool dark place for the winter.
There are many ways to store tubers, this method has worked for me in the past and gives me more time in the spring when things often get hectic. What's your method of storing!? 🎃🎃🎃
