Cheyenne Dog Soldiers
Of all the typical Plains tribes, the Cheyenne were most distinguished for warlike qualities. Few in number, they overcame or held in check most of the peoples who opposed them, and when the westward movement of European civilization began, they made more trouble than all the rest combined. In short, they were preeminently warriors among peoples whose trade was war.
As in other Plains tribes, the warriors of the Cheyenne were organized into societies or orders. These societies were fraternal, military, and semi-religious organizations with special privileges, duties, and dress, usually tracing their origin to some mythical culture hero or medicine man. Each society had its own songs and secret ritual and exacted certain observances and standards of its members.
Of these organizations, none played such a part in the history of the Plains as the โ€œDog Soldiersโ€ of the Cheyenne

Why isn't this map in history books?
Before 1492, the Americas were far from "empty."
Over 70 million indigenous people lived on the continent, with hundreds of tribes, thousands of languages, each with its own territory and culture.
The map below shows North America before the invasion โ€“ when the indigenous tribes were at their peak.
After 1492, war, disease, and forced displacement wiped out much of those civilizations.
This is more than just a map.
This is a forgotten history.

Oregon Indigenous. There are nine federally recognized tribes with reservation lands in Oregon. Those nine tribes have about 24,500 members, according to the latest figures.
Some prominent Indigenous tribes of Oregon include:
Chinook: This tribe primarily resided in the coastal areas of the Pacific Northwest and had a significant influence on the region's trade and language.
Kalapuya: This group inhabited central and western Oregon, with numerous branches and subdivisions.
Klamath: The Klamath tribe lived in the Klamath and Agency Lake regions in southern Oregon.
Modoc: This tribe lived in both Oregon and California, with a portion of their territory now situated in Klamath County, Oregon.
Nez Perce: While also present in Idaho and Washington, some Nez Perce tribal members resided in eastern Oregon.
Paiute: Among the largest Indigenous groups in Oregon, the Paiute people have numerous branches and subdivisions spread across the state.
They range in size from the Burns Paiute Tribe, with 349 members, to the Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde, with 5,200 members. There are smaller tribes not on the that list, including the Takelma Tribe, whose members lived in the Rogue Valley until they were forcibly moved to the Siletz and Grand Ronde reservations in northern Oregon in the 1800s. Some members of that tribe have returned to Southern Oregon, notably tribal spokeswoman Agnes Baker Pilgrim, the granddaughter of a Takelma chief. The estimated population of all Native Americans in Oregon โ€” including tribal members, members of tribes without federal recognition and those who self-identify as American Indian or Alaskan Native โ€” was 109,223 in the 2010 Census.
Hereโ€™s the list of the nine tribes with reservation lands, with the number of members, per the Blue Book: Burns Paiute Tribe, 349 members. Confederated Tribes of Coos, Lower Umpqua and Siuslaw, 953 members. Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde, 5,200 members. Confederated Tribes of Siletz, 4,677 members. Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation, 2,893 members. Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs Reservation, 4,306 members. Coquille Indian Tribe, 963 members. Cow Creek Band of Umpqua Tribe, 1,536 members. Klamath Tribes, 3,700 members.
These Indigenous tribes have rich cultural heritages and have historically played integral roles in shaping the region's history and identity. Despite facing significant challenges and disruptions due to colonization and historical injustices, they continue to preserve and honor their traditions, languages, and ways of life in contemporary society.

Actor, film director, film producer and musician Keanu Charles Reeves (Keanu Charles Reeves),

Missed the first 20 minutes of the party dedicated to the end of filming of his new film in one of the clubs in New York.
He waited patiently in the rain to be let in.
No one recognized him.
The club owner said: "I didn't even know Keanu was standing in the rain waiting to be let in - he didn't say anything to anyone." "He travels by public transport". "He easily communicates with homeless people on the street and helps them".
- He is only 61 years old (September 2, 1964) - He can just eat a hot dog in the park, sitting between ordinary people.
- After filming one of the "Matrix", he gave all the stuntmen a new motorcycle - in recognition of their skill.
- He gave up most of the fee for the salaries of costume designers and computer scientists who draw special effects in "The Matrix" - decided that their share of participation in the budget of the film was underestimated.
- He reduced his fee in the film The Devil's Advocate" to have enough money to invite Al Pacino.
- Almost at the same time his best friend died; his girlfriend lost a child and soon died in a car accident, and his sister fell ill with leukemia.
Keanu did not break: he donated $5 million to the clinic that treated his sister, refused to shoot (to be with her), and created the Leukemia Foundation, donating significant sums from each fee for the film. You can be born a man, but to remain one..

In February 1909, one of Americaโ€™s most legendary Apache leaders, Geronimo, was photographed for the last time.
Not long after, tragedy struck. Returning home, Geronimo was thrown from his horse and lay all night in the cold. A friend found him the next day, but the exposure had left him gravely ill.
On February 17, 1909, while incarcerated at Fort Sill, Geronimo died of pneumonia. He was 79 years old.
According to his nephew, his final words were filled with sorrow:
โ€œI should never have surrendered. I should have fought until I was the last man alive.โ€
Geronimo was laid to rest in the Apache Indian Prisoner of War Cemetery at Fort Sill.
He remains a symbol of resistance, resilience, and the unbroken spirit of his people.

In 1961, Your mother Holt married bank manager Gilbert LaPiere, who adopted Cher (under the name Cheryl LaPiere) and Georganne, and enrolled them at Montclair College Preparatory School, a private school in Encino, whose students were mostly from affluent families. The school's upper-class environment presented a challenge for Cher; biographer Connie Berman wrote, "[she] stood out from the others in both her striking appearance and outgoing personality." A former classmate commented, "I'll never forget seeing Cher for the first time. She was so special ... She was like a movie star, right then and there ... She said she was going to be a movie star and we knew she would." Despite not being an excellent student, Cher was intelligent and creative, according to Berman. She earned high grades, excelling in French and English classes. As an adult, she discovered that she had dyslexia. Cher's unconventional behavior stood out: she performed songs for students during the lunch hours and surprised peers when she wore a midriff-baring top.She later recalled, "I was never really in school. I was always thinking about when I was grown up and famous.
