Second creation of 2025 ~ A Sanskrit Blue Lotus God Box/Blessing Box. The blue lotus flower holds a deep spiritual meaning, often representing enlightenment, wisdom, the triumph of the spirit over the senses, and intellectual pursuit across various cultures, particularly in Hinduism and Buddhism, where it is often depicted as a symbol of spiritual awakening and purity when partially opened as a bud; it is also associated with the victory of the mind over the senses and the pursuit of knowledge.

I wanted to learn this cloisonne style using sand versus enamels to integrate into my "dot mandala" paintings. I do not have the space for a kiln nor trust myself with an artisan torch. I did keep the dotting minimal to not distract from the cloisonne work. ENJOY!

Just another day 8n my front room/studio "top dotting" faux opals on a sapphire gradient as a special gift to my Momma for Christmas. Molded the trinket box, too. She adores the color blue, sapphires, opals, and gold. Highlighted with dried, pressed Forget Me Knots from my garden. On her last visit, my Momma spotted the very last plant in my garden for the season. Of course, I let her pick it to take home with her. Tomorrow, we glaze. FINGERS crossed I don't drop this.
