Kids, I've been blessed by the sourcing gods lately. And now I kinda want to move into my antique booth!

Look at the mid-century goodness I've got going on! Yes, that's a Kofod Larsen chair with a "Made in Denmark" stamp on the bottom.
(Hot tip: I picked up FOUR killer MCM chairs but could only fit one in the booth this time! More to come!)
(But they're all different. Don't get excited about having a set because you won't have one.)
(But seriously, don't be sad. Because 1 incredible chair is better than 0 incredible chairs.)

I've also got these rattan shelves that I almost kept. Well, I guess I could still keep them because no one has bought them yet. But... dammit... I won't keep them even though I have the perfect spot for them.

And that little globey lamp? It makes me so happy I could cry. Seriously. (I cry a lot, y'all.) What else? Oh yeah. How about all that art all over the place? I hung a buncha new stuff.

So after doing this for a few weeks, I have to say that I really love making a whole new thang in my my booth every week or two. And I also love selling my stuff and making people happy. But I also have those moments where I'm so happy with how the booth looks RIGHT NOW that I kind of don't want the store to open tomorrow.

But open it will. Check it out. I'm in the back corner at Darberrys Antiques in Lambertville.

I don’t mean to toot my own horn, but if you’re not listening to the audio on this one, you are really missing out.

Shad Fest is this weekend! I’ve got fish to spare. Unfortunately, none of them are shad.

I think I might be a sorcerer. Hear me out: I needed an easel for my store (very hard to find a good one). Then boom! Found one. I needed a nice-looking bin to hold wall art because I'm already out of wall space. Then BOOM! I found this amazing contraption that looks purpose-build just for that. I wanted a free-standing something to hang birdcages from so I didn't have to hang them from the ceiling. Also found that. Almost immediately.

So... did I wish for a counter full of fish? Yeah. Not exactly, but also not not exactly.

Shadfest, which is this weekend, is Lambertville's spring festival honoring the lost art of shad fishing. Shad are a big of part of the town's history. You guys, I love a wacky festival so much. I wanted to get into it. And I have plenty of weird stuff in my stash, but fish were not in my inventory.

I had a fleeting thought the other day, "I wonder where I could get some fish?" And then thought, "Probably nowhere." And then...

I found these fishy motherfishers. FOUR of them! I've never bought a taxidermied anything before, never mind a fish! So I bought two. And then I was so excited that I went back the next day and got the other two.

So now I have 4 fish! Unfortunately, none of them are shad. So next year, I need to be a little more specific in my fish wishing.

And get this: my sister and my cousins used to taunt me with a poem when I was kid.

Trish the fish
Sat in a dish
And made a wish.

I hated it. But now, I wonder if it was kinda my destiny? Let me update the poem.

I had a wish
to find some fish
and four fish, I did

3 were trout
and 1 was stout
a bigmouth bass, he said

But my wish
had gone amiss
and made me rather sad

Trish the fish
Forgot to wish
for the mighty shad

Also, I wished for a way to display my non-shads for Shad Fest. I found some wine racks and they do the job.

So now I'm selling fish. And wine racks. And also, maybe stupid poems? See you at Shad Fest, fishy friends!
