I just thought I would share a little bit of fall with you. Some of you may be wondering where I have been. I have spent the last 4 and a half years being a full time grandmother to my youngest granddaughters. My shop has been closed, taken apart…and is waiting to be replaced by a bigger version. John and I renovating our house next door to the shop. I have been painting for weeks now…… and it is looking so good. Slowly but surely… step by step… we are making progress… soon, Lakadaisies Farm will be opening both the shop and the house will be filled with antiques and folk art. Adventures await. Life is good.

This breaks my heart. Thank you Carol for helping me and thousands of quilt designers all over the world share their work in your wonderful magazines. You are still the very best of the best and I will always be thankful for having your friendship in my life. I will miss you.

Dear All
It's with great sadness that we bid you farewell as Quiltmania closes its doors this evening, 24 April. I'd like to thank you so much for all the joy you've brought me over the past 27 years.
Readers, Gastons, artists, designers, collectors, shops and all my collaborators have contributed to making the world of quilting more beautiful, joyful and alive, and I've been delighted to share it with you.
A new page is being turned, but you will be able to download issue 160, which we prepared but were unable to print, and of course all the instructions for completing the Mystery Quilt, which will be available to download free of charge from our website until 31 May.
I bid you farewell with these few words, which I hope will console you: Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened !
I'll be sticking to my guns and getting back to quilting, but for those of you who come to the Pour l'Amour du Fil show, of course I'll be at my post to welcome you from 16 to 19 April 2025 with lots of pretty quilts to admire.
So take care of yourselves, keep quilting and we'll meet up again in one form or another, because that's the cycle of life!
Yours forever. Carol
