Stroll downtown to watch local artists paint al fresco for our annual Paint the City event next Saturday, June 21st from 11:00-3:00pm! The play of light and shadow on urban facades offer endless inspiration for our artists to create. The sounds of the city – traffic, chatter, and the occasional street musician add to the ambiance. Check out this year's line up:

Matt Allyn Chapman will be set up beside curio. working with some of his favorite materials- pen, ink, and watercolor! Ask questions and have conversations with him as he creates.

🎨 Freiman Stoltzfus Gallery
Guest artist Olivia Stoltzfus, a painter and textile designer from Lancaster, will be creating art live outside our gallery. Watch as Olivia brings her unique vision to life using the traditional technique of egg tempera. Don’t miss this opportunity to see creativity in action and connect with the local arts community!

Today is my birthday AND Friday! But let’s talk Friday the 13th. The origins of this day were, “connected to the lunar calendar which consists of 13 moon cycles each year, with each moon cycle representing the natural menstrual cycle of the divine feminine. This association with the moon and the menstrual cycle celebrates the innate connection between women, the moon, and the mysteries of life and creation.”
As a child - my father passed away the day before my birthday and as l’ve gotten older I began to find it fitting to celebrate his life on my birthday especially when it landed on Friday the 13th.
This year, I want to remind everyone that both beginnings and ends are woven together. We must always let something go to bring something in. And that is the definition of feminine power. The willingness to step into the unknown, to let go and embrace what is to come.
As l’ve reach my mid 30s my life has taken on this period of letting go - like 50 N Queen St - and transitions. And now, it’s time to bring in something new. These transitions always bring a level of grief but they also bring joy, growth and strength. And to me that is something to be celebrated.
Here is to letting go of the old and bringing in the new - and embracing everything in between. HAPPY FRIDAY THE 13TH TO ALL. ✨

December 21st, Winter Solstice marks the returning of the light and signifies the shortest day and the longest night. In ancient times the day was filled with song and music to summon the light to return to the earth. This time of year marks a turning inward to reflect and learn from the year past and to plot our course in the year to come. Happy Solstice and Holidays!

Open till 8pm tonight.
