This is a Public Service Announcement….with Tee Shirts! Behold, we got a few bootleg Clash tees in! Better come check out The Thrifty Kitty’s Haute Cat-ture room and snags some nice clothes, shoes, accessories, furry hats (I saw on the cable news that all the kids are furries now, so stock up!). NOW OPEN SEVEN DAYS A WEEK in the Lewin Adoption Center. Come for the deals, stay for the cat adoptions. Or vice versa, we’re flexible.

Don’t forget to bring us your old stuff- every penny earned at the Thrifty Kitty goes right to the animals. And consider volunteering!

Down to the wire and it’ll be a late night getting ready for tomorrow but…. The Thrifty Kitty is having its Grand Reopening Saturday and Sunday 3/28-29! 50% off (nearly) everything! We are hosting a flea market Saturday (there are still some free spots if you message us today- sell your junk, donate what you don’t and save the load out!). 10-4:30 this weekend- and every day after that! We are open seven days a week now and we are now in our swanky new digs in the Humane PA Betsy & Ted Lewin Adoption Center!

New highway signs are going out, shelves are being stocked, new stuff being priced- join us!

Dum, dum, dum….Dum, DUM…dum, dum, dum…dum, dum, dum….DUM, DUM! C’mon, everyone sing it with me, you know the tune! The Thrifty Kitty Thrift Boutique is having its Grand Re-Opening! It’s full of stars…and cool stuff cheap! Saturday and Sunday, March 28 and 29, in its new home in the Lewin Adoption Center on HPA’s Lancaster Campus. It’s prettier than a space stewardess and shinier than a mysterious monolith! More details to come, but we’re filling the place up with awesome stuff we’ve been collecting since our old building was closed due to storm damage! Be there or be a 1:4:9 proportioned rectangular prism! That’s a thinker.

Boy, did we get a big collection of cassette tapes, and they aren’t all crap! There’s good oldies, country, pop and more. So we’re having a SALE and a promotion to make space! All cassettes are ten for a buck, and anyone can grab five cassettes for free with every purchase!

Get that tape deck going, or grab some gifts for a friend. I’m listening to George Jones and Tammy Wynette singing “We’re Not The Jet Set” - which you probably know better from the John Prine album- right now on our in house stereo! Test them out while you’re here! Seven days a week, now right inside the Lewin Adiption Center!

Tilly is puttin’ on her fancy pants…and she found them at The Thrifty Kitty Thrift Boutique! The Humane Cat-Ture room is coming together (Get it?! Good one, right?) We have LOTS of cool clothes, tees, and accessories just waiting to get priced, hung and sold! The Thrifty Kitty is open seven days a week, 10-5, while we are setting up, stop on in- and keep stopping in as we more Rollins open on our way to our Grand Reopening Event (date TBD but SOON)!

Have an old blueprint cabinet taking up space? Humane PA needs one! HPA has 50+ years of building plans and designs that are currently rolled up and getting beat up. We need to get them safely organized and stored flat. If you have one (or two) you’d like to donate, we’d be happy to pick it up! And, of course, The Thrifty Kitty would love all the rest of the treasures you have taking up space! You may drop off donations 7 days a week at the Lewin Adoption Center building on Rte 30, Lancaster (the new home for the Kitty) 10-5 and there’s a drop of bin under the porch roof (opposite side of building from the entrance) if you need to drop off before or after hours. Vintage, antiques, books, records, collections, housewares, dishes, you name it, we want it!

The Thrifty Kitty is closed. No, not closed, closed, just closed for Christmas! Come on by after the 25th and shop our new “Words On Paper” room. Those who chose not to learn from history are doomed to repeat it and those who choose not to read are doomed to ignorance and turn books to mere words on paper. The Kitty is nothing if not high minded! We’ve got high and low brow lit, kids books, art, history, nature, magazines, you name it!

The Son of The Thrifty Kitty is awakening from its slumber! The Sound And Vision room is getting stocked up with, well, things to enjoy via sound and/or vision. All under the loving, non-judgmental eye of David Bowie. If you want music or video, come buy some. If you HAVE records, tapes, CD’s, DVD’s, 8/16 MM film, stereo equipment, film projectors, turntables, speakers, video equipment DONATE THEM TO US! We will find them a good home! (NO flat screen TVs of computer equipment please).

The Thrifty Kitty is now open seven days a week, 10-4:30! We aren’t updating the outside signs until after the new year so our FB friends will get a jump on the new stuff! Have a spare four hours or more a month? Volunteer at the Kitty!

The screen says it all: Welcome to the Thrifty Kitty! Do we reopen today? Yes! Are we ready? No! In fact, we’re still stocking shelves, pricing items, and setting up rooms in our new home in the Lewin Adoption Center (same address, new building). But the register works, we have a phone and printer now (!! It’s the little thing, right?) and everything is 50% off to make up for the inconvenience. Stop in 10 - 4:30!
