From exquisite architecture and at the Moana Surfrider Hotel in Waikiki to cultural, gastronomic, and adventure experiences in Oahu, Hawaii.

A majestic place with its vast variety of flora. Total inspiration, bringing relaxation and a reset moment of self care.

It is what I bring into every space I design: when nature and design work together, people feel calm, restored, and want to stay.

Have you ever been? Comment or DM me:

Guest Room Design: Loading...

From a teenager’s room to a guest room, and many years later, still embracing her love of lavender and purple.

Every selection has a purpose: lavender, to honor her favorite color.

*Style: transitional
*Comfort: a trundle bed that converts into a king, or two twins, for guest flexibility.
*Function: that trundle setup adapts to whoever’s staying, a daughter, a couple, or grandkids.
*Cohesion: soft brighter colors and balanced patterns to create a warm and inviting feel.
*Goals: more space, a simple style that flows with the rest of the home, a guest-ready space.

Result: The client was thrilled!

Follow along, more pics to come.

What a feeling walking around Salt Lake City. Such a peaceful, clean and earthy environment.

What makes a place memorable isn’t only how it looks. What you remember most is how you feel.

That’s what I design for.

Where do I stop when visiting a new city?
Food, design, touristy stuff? If you know me, it’s all of the above.

This time, when visiting Salt Lake City, I couldn’t resist stopping by first at McKee & Co, their brand new flagship (and first ever store). Walked in expecting furniture. Left inspired by the whole space.
For an interior designer visiting a furniture and decor store, it feels like when a kid goes to Disney!

Dear admirers of good design, you know exactly what I mean when a well curated store becomes its own kind of mood board.

This photo doesn’t show the situations most people never account for.

A ceiling fan adapter for a 45-degree sloped ceiling, and the correct height so the recessed lighting didn’t cast a disco-ball shadow.

Furniture disassembled to fit through a doorway, then reassembled without a scratch, and damaged furniture exchanged before moving day.

Set backs happen, but keeping the timeline on track anyway is the real job.

Every installation in the right order so nothing gets redone, which also keeps the budget on track.

This is what full project management actually means, not just a pretty room.

If the client enjoys the process, it means I took care of everything for them.

The person behind Inspired Spaces by D.
Hi, I am Denisse, founder and principal designer of Inspired Spaces by D.

I started this business because I believe a space should do more than look good, it should be true to how someone actually lives or runs their business.

Every project is personal to me. I want clients to feel like they can hand over the details and trust it’s being handled with care.

If you have been curious about the person behind the work, this is me.
