I saw this lovely curtain and knew it would fit amazingly in the boys’ bathroom!

We’ve been extra busy with VBS in the evenings, but it’s been a blessing to be able to share in the fun with the kiddos participating. 🫶🏼 Even I continue to learn about God alongside them.

Things have been quiet around here, so I started a blog on all my thoughts. 😳

There’s a lot of working on family, client homes and faith right now. My time and habits are in major transition. Sometimes faithfulness to the above listed isn’t posting daily, but working quietly and faithfully in the background. I’ve also been figuring out what direction to take this account as my heart is being reshaped right now. I am still designing homes and tweaking my own and will continue to wholeheartedly do so until God says no more, but I’m being pulled to transition this account. It’s scary. I just don’t know how yet and am praying for direction.

But for now, you’ll get the in-between seasons, the thoughts in my blogs, and how design and faith intertwine. ❤️ Maybe that’s how?

Sundayyyyy.

Summer for my boys is coming very fast. I’m already planning on how to fill our days to make it both fun and full of growth. One thing I’m going to implement into our days is the 20 minute candle.

It’s basically a candle that is lit for— you guessed it— 20 minutes before it dies out. We’ll have Bible/prayer time during this time together. 🙏🏼 I’m so excited about it because my boys just loooove doing things together and I just know they’ll be excited to take turns lighting it.

I’m ready for fall. 🎃 Seriously, how bad would it be to just swap everything out super duper early?

I miss the pumpkins, the colors, and the flavors. 🥹 I think one thing I really enjoy about having a home is being able to be creative with it. I can try and mess up and try and mess up until I get it right. Isn’t that amazing?

Soooo too early? I can already see all the summer gals telling me it’s too soon. 🤣

This is beautiful to me.

It’s chaos. Unfinished. In-process. Any person can walk in there and see these spaces for what they are and cry about the fact that they’re a mess and unfinished. OR they can walk in here, see that work is being done and know that as a designer with a vision, I will see the work through and make it beautiful, so I can stamp my name on it.

Isn’t our life like this sometimes? We’re in a season— you know the ones— that drain you, that discourage you, that leave you wondering where God is in everything. But God’s fingerprints are everywhere in your season. God, being the ultimate designer, rich in mercy and goodness and love, is in all the little details of your life. He’s in the hammer putting you back together, in the miter saw removing excess, and in all the intricate tiny details that will ultimately create an unequaled finished product, much like these unfinished, in-process spaces of mine.

I challenge you to see your season as I see my clients’ spaces: a masterpiece is on the way. Trust the process. The most seasoned, expert Designer is working on you.❤️

Our garden has taken off, and it’s exciting. 🥹

We’re seeing pops of pink, purple and white. Soon we’ll have our first tomatoes! 😍 Maintaining our garden is deeply relaxing for me. To prune, support, and harvest makes me feel a sort of way. Like, I— ME— am responsible for watering and keeping an eye out for pests and doing my my best to keep these lovelies alive. Perhaps that’s why it hurts me so much when they their time is up and it’s time to uproot them. 🥺

Plus, seeing my boys fertilize, water, and care for our garden is a huge blessing, too. My favorite is when they dig for earthworms. 😍

Functionality in this little corner. ✨

We use everything on here, minus the little decor. The idea is the have your countertops clean and functional. If you need cooking tools to be accessible, opt for wood. Cutting and serving boards? Look for beautiful and timeless pieces. Whatever opportunity you have to make a statement, seize it.

Also, using these fancy things makes me feel excited, too! Any meal can instantly become a special moment. For example, I like making waffles with fruits and dips and displaying it on a wooden board (like a charcuterie board) so my kids get excited to prepare their breakfast. People eat with their eyes first and I love the idea of making my family’s meals special every time. Maybe it’s a designer thing, but I truly enjoy making their meals beautiful when I’m able to. 😍

As they grow, their room grows with them.

One find that you’ll see in both pics is the Carolina table from This was the best purchase for this room by far. Perfect height for little kids and even for adults. We all still use it! If there’s one thing I say you need for your playroom, it’s this one. Make the investment. It was so worth it!

The boys have also been coming in to do prayer and Bible time daily. They enjoy the calm space that beckons them to stay a while and create, play and rest.

I’m hoping to wallpaper the entire space. We’ll see if that happens. 😅

As the weather warms up, I’m thinking about this gorgeous outdoor space I designed for a client some time ago. 🪴☀️

I can imagine cozy evenings with candlelight and secondary lighting with a cup of coffee and good conversations taking place here. An inviting backdrop makes for creating memorable moments. ❤️
