This is why I never get tired of ceramics. 🦉

A few weeks ago, this was just liquid clay inside a vintage mold.

Now it’s one of my favorite finished pieces on the shelf.

Every mold has a story, and watching it transform from slip to a finished glazed piece is still my favorite part of the process.

Which do you enjoy seeing more, the mold reveals or the finished pieces? I’d love to know! 👇

Just a happy little mushroom canister making an appearance on your feed today. 🍄

This finished piece came out exactly how I pictured it, and I couldn’t be happier with those bright green and white colors.

Sometimes the simplest glaze combinations are the most fun.

Would you style this in your home year-round or just for spring? 💚

Bringing a little island vibe to the garage studio. 🌺🌴

One of my favorite things about vintage ceramics is finding pieces that have so much personality, and this tiki vase definitely fits the bill.

Every glaze firing is a surprise, but I’m really happy with how this one turned out.

Do you collect tiki décor, or is this your first time seeing a piece like this?

This one will be making its way to the Cast & Kiln shop in a future drop!

I may not have poured any new molds this weekend… but the shelves are still giving me plenty to smile about. 🍋✨

This lemon pitcher is still one of my favorite finished pieces, and seeing projects like this keeps me motivated for the next time I can get back in the studio.

The next kiln load is coming… just give me a little time. 😊

Slow and steady… but worth the wait. 🐌✨

This little snail finally got his finished look, and I have to say… I think the kiln did him a favor.

The shell reminds me of a bright spring day, while the iridescent body catches the light from every angle.

If you could name this little guy, what would you call him? 👀

Not every glaze combination goes exactly as planned… and that’s okay. 👢

These little cowboy boots had a bit of glaze bleed into the brown during the firing. It’s one of those things that keeps ceramics interesting, you never know exactly what the kiln has in store.

Even with the surprise, I’m really happy with how these turned out.

Which color would you take home?

Remember the wiener dog that kept giving me trouble? 🌭🐶

Well… we finally made it.

After a couple of failed attempts (and one trip to the reclaim bucket 😅), here’s the finished cracker dish—and I’d say it was worth the extra patience.

That’s one of the things I love about ceramics. Sometimes the pieces that test your patience the most end up becoming your favorites.

Now I need your help…

If this little guy lived at your house, what would he be holding?

Another finished favorite from the Cast & Kiln shelves. 🐢❤️

If you’ve been following along for a while, you probably recognize Sturgell Jr. from one of my mold reveal videos.

Now he’s all finished and ready to show off!

I had so much fun bringing this little guy to life, right down to his bright sneakers and textured shell. It’s always amazing to look back at where a piece started as liquid clay in a mold and see the finished result.

While I’m busy with work this week, I’ll be sharing more completed pieces from the studio.

I’d love to know… if you could have any of the Animals with Sneakers, who are you bringing home? 🐢🐸🦁🐶

I hope everyone had an amazing holiday weekend! 🇺🇸

Now it’s back to the day job for me, which means I haven’t had much time to record new mold reveals this week.

So for the next few days, I thought it’d be fun to share some of my favorite finished pieces instead. 😊

First up… this little ceramic Jean planter with GOLD belt loop! 👖

I love how the denim texture, belt, and buckle came together on this one. It’s one of those pieces that always gets a double take because people don’t expect ceramic shorts!

New mold reveals will be back soon, but until then, I hope you enjoy seeing some of the finished projects that come out of the garage studio.

Well… these two might just be the cutest roommates in the garage. 🐷💕

Today’s mold reveal is a vintage boy and girl pig salt and pepper set that nestles into its own little wooden trough.

I love pieces like this because they’re equal parts functional and nostalgic. You can almost picture them sitting on a farmhouse table, ready for family dinners.

Now they’re headed off for cleanup, drying, and eventually the kiln.

I have to know… would these be living on your kitchen table, or would they become part of your farmhouse décor? 🏡
