I still remember that morning, my mom was screaming at the tv while I walked out of the shower. Watching the news in first period, while my teacher tried to be ok for us, but I could see she was scared. I didn't understand the significance of what was happening in the moment.
As the years went on I grew to understand. and 20 years later, and I will never forget.❤️

-Labeled an "impressionist". He preferred to call himself a "realist". or "independent".
-He was influenced by Japanese prints.
-By 1885, most of his more important works were done in pastel.

-His father sent hi to Rome to study, then later went to study in Athens.
-Best known for his Odes, which celebrates events. Examples are making a toast to wishing a friend safe travels.

Henri Matisse 1869-1954

-He was a draughtsman, printmaker and sculptor, but is known primarily as a painter.
-One of his many paintings "Woman with a hat" is on display at San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
-After being diagnosed with abdominal cancer in 1941, he began creating cut paper collages.
