Her crown reaches back to the Tudor era, but she belongs entirely to the present. She honors the women who came before us while looking directly at the world we inhabit now—self-possessed, complex, and free to define power on their own terms.

I’ve been so excited to finally share this with you! ❤️🎨

Registration is officially OPEN for Paint Your Heart & Soul 2027 — Around the World Through Art, and I’m incredibly happy to be one of the 27 artists teaching this year!

For my lesson, I’m bringing together so many of the things I love — portraiture, strong values, collage, and just enough color. ✨

In American Cowgirl — Values and Shapes Create Form, we’ll create an abstract portrait using collage with touches of color while exploring how values and simple shapes can create form.

I also have a bonus lesson, American Cowgirl — Vintage Paper Collage & Photo Transfer, where we’ll layer vintage papers, collage and photo transfer to create a fun mixed-media piece.

WIP ⚠️ She is beginning to emerge from the noise—crowned, guarded, and entirely her own. Beneath her are nearly eight layers of collage and paint, each one partially concealed but still present, creating a surface that feels excavated rather than simply built.

I’m still developing the tension between her quiet expression and the beautiful chaos surrounding her.

Not finished. Still becoming. But the queen has arrived.

A glimpse of a work still becoming—just a five-by-five-inch section of a 30-by-40-inch canvas.

I’ve always loved the quiet alchemy of collage—the way chance can make a choice more eloquent than intention. The dark paper along the shadow side of her nose was a mistake, and “Las Vegas” found its way across her face entirely by accident. Yet both landed exactly where they belonged.

When she’s finished, she’ll be making her way to Las Vegas. Perhaps the work understood its destination before I did.

Every painting holds the potential for another life.

One of my favorite ways to create is by taking an original painting and iterating it into something entirely new. Rather than simply reproducing the original, I transform it through layers of collage and mixed media using my signature process. The result is a one-of-a-kind work that honors the original while telling a story all its own.

“Don’t be ridiculous, Andrea. Everybody wants this.”

And she’s right. ❤️

For me, “this” isn’t the corner office, the runway sample, or the title. It’s him.

This piece was created for HIM, a show honoring the men in our lives, exhibited at Liam’s Den & Bubble Bar at The Venetian in Las Vegas.

A tribute to the linear thinker. The mechanical mind. The fighter pilot mentality. The man who can solve what others can’t see. Strong hands, steady focus, quiet confidence—and yes, devastatingly handsome.

The kind of man who builds, fixes, protects, and creates.

This painting is my celebration of masculine energy at its finest, and of the extraordinary man who inspires me every day.
