It’s a “lazy Sunday” kinda day & love 💛

This Skinny Picot Headband is exactly what I’ve been looking for for the longest time and I’m so glad I found the pattern Ali created! It’s a free crochet pattern on her website and I’d definitely say it’s beginner-friendly 💡

I’m using one of my favorite recycled cotton yarns from .zpagetti ~ brought those over from Europe and believe it or not, I still have a few skeins left 🤣 in all kinds of colors.

Las Vegas summer heat is definitely something special ☀️ and honestly, this headband deserves to be a statement piece in your life too. I’m not going anywhere without it - I’ve already made 3 so far 🙌🏻

Jokes aside, huge shoutout to for the recognition. I never really saw myself as an artist or even as someone artistic at all. But moments like this make me stop & reflect a little differently.

Now I’m starting to understand why my therapist encouraged me to work on self-esteem & self-worth. Sometimes growth looks like finally allowing yourself to be seen.

Lately I’ve been leaning into sewing & quilting and I didn’t expect how calming it would feel 🧵✨ I remember seeing my mum sewing us matching PJs back in the days but I was not interested in that kind of activity back then…

I love crocheting, don’t get me wrong. My made to order spots are open and I can’t wait to create something unique for you💡🙌🏻 🩷(however the constant counting, even something as simple as repeating “1, 2, 3, 4” over and over, has been feeling more draining than relaxing. I can not help it but my brain counts constantly even if I do not need to…) Needless to say I’m always counting whenever I see patterns, like repetition of objects etc so it’s a never ending story really.

With sewing and quilting blocks, it feels different. Cutting fabric, piecing blocks together, guiding them through the machine feels more intuitive, more visual, more freeing. I can focus on color, texture and shape instead of keeping track of every stitch. It gives my mind space to slow down without the pressure of precision counting. It’s different. More like precision cutting and sewing 🤭🤣

At this stage of life, I’m realizing relaxation looks a little different than it used to and that’s okay. I’m just learning and following what feels good, right now one fabric piece at a time 🪡 Practice makes perfect they say, so I’m keeping my small “precious” fabric collection untouched and I’m just using the fabric I declare to be less expensive but colorful & fun at the same time💡🩷 P.S.: Hero can’t lay on me to stop me from crocheting 🤣🙌🏻but loves to lay down next to me while sewing 🐶🐾💙
