Layer scents by volatility first: start with a stable base (woods, resins), add a mid note (floral, spice), then finish with bright top notes (citrus, green). Matching evaporation profiles prevents one layer from vanishing or overpowering when warmed. Use no more than 10–15% of a fixative like benzoin or labdanum in a blend to subtly slow top-note loss without muddying clarity.

We test blends cold and warmed so our candles and diffusers keep each layer balanced from first light to the last hour.
