These last few months have been exciting, nerve racking, and emotional to say the least. In July of 1997, I attended my first lighting convention and 6 years ago I took Gustavo for the first time and the fun began. Our goal today, and has always been, that Northern Lights is the fore-front of Lighting in Las Vegas.

After 24 years in the lighting business, We are excited to announce our retirement and the Sale of Northern Lights and Fans. We have had so much fun "illuminating Las Vegas" all of these years here in Las Vegas. We will miss the day to day interactions with all of you and know that the new owners will carry on offering the the best, most unique lighting available.

Thank you for supporting our 24 fantastic years "illuminating Las Vegas".

TBT….. over the years

Friends have played a huge part in our success opening multiple locations of Northern Lights and Fans LLC. A phone call was all it took to get much needed help. We are soooo lucky.

We have always tried to involve family at Northern Lights and Fans LLC.
Family is Mom’s, dogs, Nieces, Sister-in-laws, and even family who haven’t arrived yet, and soooo many more.

Almost 18 years ago, Bob Mackie came by Northern Lights and spent the day with us. My favorite memory is when Bob came to our home for lunch between visits to both stores.
My Mom, Dad and Sister came down to support us and I was a nervous wreck thinking…..Was everything in order, will he like the food, will he feel comfortable in my humble home, will I have the courage to ask him to sign an autograph.

The moment came, he got out of the car and walked in the front door, took off his jacket and said “Let’s Eat, I am starving”.
I never felt more at ease after that. He spent most of the time talking and laughing with everyone there and spent extra time with my Mom as they had both grown up in California. Loved It!!

Before we left to head back to the store for more “meet and greet,” autographs, and photos…. I needed one more thing.
I asked him to come to the spare room where I had a small Bob Mackie Barbie collection. He grabbed his pen and Signed both my “Goddess of the Sun” and “Moon Goddess”.
As he left the room, he turned back to me and said…..”You are kinda Gay”. We both laughed and I had one of the best day of my career in the lighting world.

We took this photo after finishing the restoration of the Crystal Chandelier we rescued from the Rat Pack Suite at the Sands Hotel before it was imploded. It became our entry focal point for about a year before someone “had to have it” and we sold our little piece of history.
