The first day I tried Aqua Aerobics/ Aqua Fit was in late 2021, when I lived part time in Pennsylvania and the other time in my home in Maryland. Pennsylvania was one of the first states on the east coast to eliminate the social distancing and the face mask. As a consistent business woman, I began searching for where I will go and do my business. At that time, the government was ditching out a lot of aid/ free money and benefits that I would never qualify for. Washington DC was one of the last districts to eliminate social distancing. My state followed DC Closely. I had to find an avenue to get my share of the pie. I moved to Pennsylvania, got an apartment in Bethlehem and opened my store. I was working from home. It was around the same time, I would wake up to heavy sweat. A customer told me to try the pool. It healed her body. To try cold showers. It was quite an experience. I made great friends, learned conversational Spanish. In Allentown, as a business owner, if you want to do well, it is paramount you learn Spanish. Rooted in its deep Puerto Rican and Dominican culture that residents refused to give up the culture and language, you will wise up and learn Spanish. You will see people living in America in Allentown for over 40 years and never learned English. They work, bought homes, function like everyone else but did not have to learn English. Going into that territory and not adjusting is detrimental to one’s own growth. Two years later, I fell in love with the calm peace the water brings to my soul . I am became Aqua Aerobics instructor, currently in school learning everything about this sport/ this exercise program to one day do a lot with this. Not as an instructor/ teaching but other big things. Keep following my journey as I work towards this goal. I started with a kiosk at the mall and three months later opened my store. My journey.
