Granny found the most adorable collection of goods in Florida on her winter travels recently. This Colonia China Co dish made in Virginia says “Welcome, Spring!” in all its vintage charm. I keep seeing this as a guest bathroom soap dish, with a beautiful hand towel. But of course it would be beautiful with chocolates, toast, or anything you serve.

I saw that gorgeous blue wingback chair you auctioned off and I FROZE. I wanted it so badly but I was scared to bid—what if I paid too much? What if someone judged my decorating taste? What if it didn’t fit through my door?! Now it’s gone and I’m kicking myself. Will you have another auction soon? And how do you get brave enough to just GO FOR IT when you see something special?

Oh sweetheart, come here and let me pour you some coffee. See that empty spot in my booth right now? That’s where courage lives.

That blue wingback found her person, and you know what? The lady who won her didn’t hesitate. She saw beauty, she saw possibility, and she said “mine” before her practical brain could list seventeen reasons why not. And now she’s got herself a statement piece that makes her smile every single morning.

Here’s what I’ve learned selling vintage treasures for more years than I care to count: the things we regret most aren’t the chances we took—they’re the ones we let slip away because we were too busy worrying about what-ifs. That chair might not have fit. It might have been too much money. But honey, you’ll never know now, will you?

Now dry those eyes, because YES—we’ll have more auctions. Maybe not more wingbacks (🤣 that was nerve wrecking 😳), but certainly more treasures, more chances to be brave.
