We wanted to send a big thank you to Lawrence Modern for giving us the chance to share one of our favorite Downtown Lawrence projects with many modern design and architecrtural history fans. Extra thanks to our fabulous client and all of those who contributed their talents during the renovation process.

Introducing the latest custom staircase that we designed, fabricated and installed.

Semi open-risers and thick treads crafted from yellow pine fit neatly onto laser cut powder-coated steel stringers. We finished it off with floating glass panels and a continuous steel hand rail.

We are pleased to be breaking ground on a new custom residence.

This home will be perched on a scenic ridge near Lawrence.

We will be posting more pictures soon as the most complex foundation we have ever designed starts to take shape.

Happy Friday! We felt like leaking a few sneak peaks of the latest kitchen we designed and built… Enjoy!

Our fabrication shop milled and crafted these cabinet boxes with locally reclaimed Fir and clad them with custom powder coated steel drawer and door fronts. The equally beautiful interior of the cabinets is fully lined in laminate and equiped with the finest European hardware. Top quality appliances and fabulous daylighting round out the space.

Visit our friends at Hank Charcuterie and hang out on their new patio.

We fabricated and installed a custom hardwood ipe and steel fence/canopy, and benches as well as strung cables for retractable canvas shades and string lights.

Another collaboration between our fabrication shops (metal and wood).. Hand bent plate steel legs slide seamlessly into this walnut top to make this custom table

We have finally been given permission to release this video of our collaboration last summer with international Earthworks artist Stan Herd. Working with Stan, our office designed and built the structural system to enable this 2000+ square foot Earthwork.

Over 5000 lbs of aluminum were processed in our shop in Lawrence Kansas and shipped to San Francisco California. The fabrication team delicately assembled and suspended the entire project on a prominent corner in downtown.

Wine party tonight?

We converted a small unused room into an elegant wine cellar and display space for a dedicated wine aficionado.

Our metal and wood shops worked together again to fabricate these laser cut steel wine racks and seamlessly integrate them into a sleek hardwood walnut wall. The finishing touches to this climate controlled gem include dimmable LEDs, custom sliding glass doors, and a tasting bar.

Downtown Lawrence renovation update.

The 100+ year fir hardwood floor has been meticulously removed, ran through our planer for an initial clean, re-installed and is currently being refinished.

Our metal shop has been busy with a number of projects on this job. This set of 5 custom steel I-beam trusses provide the roof structure for the loft's atrium. After being galvanized and craned onto the roof with a 170 ft crane, the trusses are installed, trimmed out with reclaimed fir hardwood and are awaiting glass infill.
