Hi, I’m Haley…the head maker at Twisted Arrow Designs. The inspiration behind this business was my grandma. She was one of the most influential people in my life, but her unexpected passing was heartbreaking.
My grandma had a passion for history, so naturally, family vacations were full of lessons on history. North and South Dakota, Montana, and Wyoming were some of our favorite stops.
The year after she passed, my family headed north again to the places she loved. I got a ring made from Black Hills silver during that memorable trip, which simply spoke to me. It is an arrow that twists into a ring. To me, this ring reminds me of her. It makes me think of freedom and spontaneity and the idea that I can do whatever I want, much like my year growing up with grandma as my partner in crime.
My grandma was also a very crafty woman. We would make cookies, ornaments, and many other crafts to keep us busy throughout the holidays.
She loved Nativity scenes and has a whole bookshelf full of different versions of the Christ story. Her love inspired my first project allowing me to combine the birth of Jesus with the outdoors, creating a one-of-a-kind gift for anyone of any age.
