I know this isn’t woodworking, but I truly do believe in taking care of the body I have so that I can keep doing woodworking for many, many more years!
This week are doing our “testing” at the gym after working our way through the strength cycle the last two months. Truth be told… I push myself but never all the way because I am constantly “working out” in the shop carrying lumber, and just don’t want to be too sore that I can’t do my actual job.
This deadlift was 175 and I’m happy with it, but also I just texted my coach and said “maybe I actually should have gone heavier because I made that look way too easy” 🤣😬🤦🏼‍♀️
So thankful for a gym like and the community I have in the gym!

It was time for a new dresser for myself! I have been rocking my pine ikea dresser since 2008. It’s made 9 moves over the years which is pretty impressive.
My new one is built out of quarter sawn white oak, pre colored with Rubio black pre color easy and stained/sealed with Rubio black to give it that deep black matte look and I absolutely love it!

When you build full tome for others, your personal projects will always take a back seat unfortunately. But finally I knocked this out after wanting to do it for couple years!

I have an amazing mom!
She is literally the glue that’s held our family together!
She is the first the celebrate anyone… she will text, call, she writes cards and letters (I’ve saved so many of them), she is an excellent gift giver and above all she LOVES Jesus so much and her love of God outpours onto everyone who meets her!
