Firebird Farm Antiques Owned by Brian & Stephanie Fischer, Firebird Farm is nestled in their 2-1/2 story mid 1800's barn in picturesque Lee NH.

The antique hunter can find everything from Furniture, Smalls, Artwork, Decorative Accessories, Fun Advertising Pieces and More! Firebird Farm Antiques is owned by Brian and Stephanie Fischer. The shop is located in their 1850′s period post and beam barn (ask to see the marriage marks on the hand hewn beams!). Situated at 46 North River Road in Lee, New Hampshire they are centrally located in the

heart of Strafford County. A short drive from the New Hampshire seacoast or approximately 75 minutes from the greater Boston area, it is easy to find!

We all love interesting items from the past and I think this qualifies! This is a pair of bog shoes that were put on a horse to keep their hooves from sinking into muddy or soft footing (similar principle for snowshoes!). Marsh hay , aka salt hay, was harvested in late summer or early fall and put up on staddles, which kept the hay above the high tide. The farmers would then go into the marsh and either load it on a horse drawn wagon or a gundolow boat.

If you are a true crime aficionado we have some unusual ephemera. This is an original early police rap sheet, circa 1910 of a convicted murderer who was subsequently given the death penalty. The crime happened in Lynn, MA area and this outlaw was electrocuted in the Charlestown MA prison in 1911. We have others that are not so gruesome!
