For me, it's always nice to put a face behind a shop account. So, after nearly 14 years in business, I thought it was time to introduce myself. Hi, I'm Syd, owner of Rust & Feathers. If I had to describe my style, I'd say "Organic Industrial". Not sure if that's a thing, but I love a mix of man-made industrial pieces and natural objects. Favorite things to collect - antique bottles, scales, fans, typewriters, cameras, books, watercolor landscapes and I have a particular passion for nautical and "lodge-y" vintage items like ship lanterns, pond boats, paddles, fishing creels, trapper baskets. Antique English pine furniture will always be my go-to in my own home. Favorite antique "era" - 1920's/30's industrial (I even love the fashions of that time...well, except for womens shoes 😬) If I didn't own an antique shop I'd probably open a boutique clothing store.
