WORLD’S LEADING SPECIAL EFFECTS MANUFACTURER DESIGNS NEW DISINFECTING AEROSOL MACHINES AND FOGGER MACHINES IN 3 DAYS. NOW THEY ARE MAKING IT AVAILABLE TO THE FRONT LINES OF THE FIGHT AGAINST CORONAVIRUS.
MARCH 31, 2020 - (HUNTSVILLE, AL) Based on interviews and brainstorming sessions with several chemistry specialists, infection control specialists and some creative inventor friends, Global Special Effects CEO Francisco Guerra has quickly transformed a 35,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility in Northwest Alabama into a radical prototype testing lab and factory gearing up to make automated no touch infection control machines. By using a modified version of their T-1500 Evaporative Snow Machines and F-400 Foggers his team found ways to make it affordable and easy for health facilities, hospitals, schools, surgery centers, fitness centers and hotels where disinfecting of large to small areas is necessary to fight the invisible Coronavirus enemy.
There is a history of innovation and meeting the rapid demands to a changing world at this business. When drinks were getting spiked, it was this company that won a Time Magazine Invention of the Year Award by creating a chemical detecting coaster to stop the trend. Then, years later it was this group on the front lines of the fight against bed bugs. The company has robust Capabilities to perform R&D as well as to manufacture, assemble and distribute from an ISO 9001 facility.
“We have demanding clients since we support Hollywood Productions and Theme Parks worldwide with our solutions and expertise in atmospheric control. Deeply rooted in our business is the creation of environmentally safe special effects where millions of visitors’ safety and well-being are the priority. It’s our 30-year-old company in Alabama that is behind the scenes controlling when it snows in Hollywood and when it’s foggy. We are part of the magic from Disney to David Copperfield and we are the rain and fog at the Rainforest.” said CEO Francisco Guerra. Further, Mr. Guerra stated “In our region, we still have one-in-three people working in manufacturing, and it’s so critical in our economy to keep these great people working and safe. I could not think of a better way to support the effort to eradicate this horrible virus than to bring my team together to manufacture something and help fight at the front line. The race is on to get into production.”
The COVID-19 pandemic will be fought on multiple fronts, and a machine that offers the capability to disinfect and sanitize areas in just minutes adds to the broad range of solutions needed to combat this virus and help prevent outbreak hotspots.
