October felt a lot farther away when I signed the lease. 😅🪡

Now it’s officially “how is there still this much to do?!” season at Thread & Gather. 😂 Between inventory, furniture, displays, a million tiny decisions, and approximately 47 open tabs at all times… we’re getting there.

Opening a needlepoint shop: very chic.

Meet Employee #1: Nelly 🐾💚

Before there was Thread & Gather, there was Nelly — my ride-or-die girl, loyal sidekick, and now official Shop Dog.

Yes, she’s named after the Nelly. 🎶 Because apparently my love and my husband's love of early-2000s rap was strong enough to influence a major life decision.

Her official Thread & Gather responsibilities include:
🐾 Greeting customers
🧵 Supervising inventory from a comfortable distance
📦 Inspecting all incoming boxes
😴 Sleeping through staff meetings
👀 Making sure I’m never actually alone in the store

Her compensation package includes unlimited treats, belly rubs, and absolutely zero accountability.

Employee #1 was never up for debate. 💚

It’s official: Thread & Gather has a look. 💚🪡✨

There’s something a little surreal about seeing an idea that has lived in your head for so long suddenly become a real brand — with colors, fonts, details and a personality all its own.

And I have to thank for taking all of my ideas, inspiration, “what if we tried this?” messages, and approximately 847 opinions and turning them into something that feels so perfectly Thread & Gather.

I wanted this brand to feel colorful but classic, polished but never stuffy, a little Southern, a little unexpected, and — most importantly — like a place where you want to pull up a chair and stay awhile.

She absolutely nailed it.

This is just the beginning, and seeing the Thread & Gather brand come to life makes October feel a whole lot closer. 💚

Thank you, , for helping give this little dream of mine an identity. I can’t wait for everyone to see where we take it next.

Thread & Gather is coming to Lansdowne Shoppes. 🧵✨

After all the hints, guesses, coffee clues, UK football references, and “okay but WHERE is it?” messages… I can finally say it again with the full address attached: this is home.

And there is absolutely no way I could post this without giving a very big thank you to Alaina Stokes with Block + Lot — commercial real estate agent, voice of reason, professional hand-holder, and certified ride-or-die friend through this entire process.

Alaina has answered approximately 847 questions, talked me through every possible scenario, advocated for Thread & Gather like it was her own, and never once suggested that perhaps I should stop sending her thoughts and questions at all hours of the day. 😂

There are friends who cheer for your big ideas…and then there are friends who help you find the building for them. Alaina, I’m so incredibly grateful for you. 💗

Now we have an address. We have a lease. And pretty soon, we’re going to have a whole lot of needlepoint on these walls.
