We knew that Kentucky was going to have a scorcher of a week, so we brought in an ice cream truck to our Lexington office on Monday as a little thank-you to our team! Nothing beats the heat (or boosts morale) like stepping outside for a cone with your coworkers. 🍦☀️

Last week our public safety team enjoyed exhibiting at Kentucky Association of Fire Chiefs Conference! We enjoyed connecting with fire chiefs and department leaders from across the Commonwealth. From the Leadership Conference sessions to the oath of office ceremony for incoming officers, it was an honor to be part of the event and to support an association that does so much for Kentucky's fire service.

Indoor slides = Rain or shine, the fun doesn't stop!

Check out our new indoor creation at the Gemini Center Aquatic Facility in Fairview Park, OH!

This slide made its big splash debut on July 1st, 2026, and we could not be more thrilled to bring this to the Fairview Park community. Congrats on your gorgeous new slide, Fairview Park… go get splashin’! 🛝🎉

Project Update:

This site might not look like much yet, but in sixteen months this site will be home to the new City of Hutchins 42,000 SF library and recreation center! The City of Hutchins is located just south of Dallas, Tx!

The facility will include a regulation-size multi-purpose court, a suspended walking track, a fitness room, fitness studios, multi-purpose rooms for community programming, and supporting spaces.

BCI is grateful for the opportunity to design this project and now to watch it rise across the street from our newly opened City of Hutchins City Hall & Event Center project.

This space is designed to enhance community and quality of life for the community it serves.

It’s all in the DETAILS—and this Fire Station is proof of that. Our talented team took a standard Pre-Engineered Metal Building and transformed it into a bold, functional, and inspiring facility for the brave firefighters who call it home.
Highlights of this transformation include:
🔹 Board-Formed Concrete: A timeless, durable design element that adds visual depth while offering practical protection.
🔹 Innovative Brickwork: Switching to 12" wide bricks (instead of the usual 8") brought a refined aesthetic and reduced construction time and costs.
🔹 Custom Built-In Bedwork: Enhancing the interior space with richness and warmth that elevates everyday living.
🔹 Sleek Stainless Steel Kitchen: Designed to meet the firefighters' request for a commercial-grade kitchen—this all-stainless setup is a true centerpiece.
