📚 Opening the Doors to a New Taylor County Public Library ✂️

We were honored to celebrate the grand opening of the Taylor County Public Library. designed by BCI as architect and engineer, with a wonderful ribbon cutting surrounded by community members, staff, and local leaders.

This project brings new life to the existing 11,000 s.f. facility with a fully renovated layout and a 7,000 s.f. addition designed to better serve every generation. From bright, open reading areas and expanded computer spaces, to flexible meeting rooms and thoughtfully designed staff areas, the library is built to support learning, connection, and growth.
Inside, you’ll find inviting spaces for all, from interactive children’s areas and vibrant murals to comfortable reading nooks and collaborative spaces. Outside, new patios and greenspaces will expand programming opportunities even further.

It was incredible to see the building filled with people enjoying the space on opening day, exactly what it was designed for.

🚒 Ribbon Cutting to Celebrate in Owensboro! 🎉

It’s been a busy and exciting month of ribbon cuttings for BCI!

Recently, we were proud to have served as the architect and engineer for the City of Owensboro’s new Fire Station #3, now officially open and ready to serve the community. This project reflects a continued investment in public safety and the people who protect it every day.

Moments like these are a great reminder of the impact thoughtful design and strong partnerships can have on a community.

Thank you to our team and project partners who helped bring this facility to life, and to the Owensboro Fire Department for the essential work they do.

🎉 Celebrating a Milestone in Mayfield, KY 🚒

BCI is proud to have served as the architect and engineer for the City of Mayfield’s brand-new Fire Station 1. It officially opened with a recent grand opening!

Following the devastating tornado in December 2021, the Mayfield community has shown incredible resilience. This marks the first major grand opening in their rebuilding efforts, with City Hall / Police Station and the Graves County Administration Building soon to follow.

For nearly four years, Mayfield’s fire department operated out of temporary facilities. Now, they’re finally home—and it’s a moment worth celebrating. Each celebration brings the community one step closer to normalcy.

We’re grateful to the Fire Chief and his team for their partnership and kind words, and honored to play a role in supporting their mission.
