It is still warm in Texas, but I am ready for deeper woods, warm fruit, spice and fragrance that makes the whole room feel settled.

Layering lets you adjust the mood, add dimension, and create a combination that feels entirely your own.

Begin with the fragrance you want to lead. Add the second lightly, then give both scents time to develop together on your skin.

One of my favorite Couture pairings is Bare with Orchid Oud. Bare brings a soft, close warmth while Orchid Oud adds depth and a darker, woodier edge. Together, they are cozy, sexy, and beautifully balanced.

Choosing between a 10 mL rollerball and a 50 mL spray is about more than how much fragrance you get. It changes how you wear it.

The rollerball gives you precise application and stays closer to the skin. It’s easy to carry and a great choice if you enjoy rotating between fragrances.

The 50 mL spray gives you broader application and fuller diffusion. It’s the bottle you reach for when you know a fragrance belongs in your regular rotation.

What FragCon day two taught me.

I smelled widely and bought selectively.

Vitae Parfum Red is a fruity apple fragrance with a warm woody dry down. Wow!

She was told she would never be relevant to the fragrance industry. So she named her fragrance Irrelevant. I let it dry down, then immediately went back for the full bottle. Nivrad Fragrances

VAN DANG Fragrances Solaire - Solar orange blossom that immediately earned a place in my collection.

Some fragrances need an immediate yes. Others reward patience. Is this “Duty Free” or not? Brilliant!

Day one of Global Fragrance Convention | FRAGCON was incredible. I came ready to be a sponge, and that is exactly what happened.

I smelled more fragrances than I can count, made my own perfume, and spent the day meeting and learning from perfumers across the industry. My brain is full, my nose is tired, and I am completely inspired.

And I met Chris Collins!! He is a total badass. So smart, so grounded, and I loved hearing his story. His masterclass was easily one of the highlights of the day.

There is so much to learn in fragrance, and I love being in rooms where I can keep learning. I cannot wait to go back tomorrow and do it all again.

It’s the eve of day one at Global Fragrance Convention | FRAGCON , and the welcome bag already gave me three fragrances from EUROPERFUMES to smell. 😂

Happy Dust is the easy winner. Bourbon vanilla, matcha tea and sandalwood. So, so good.

Cedar Chic initially gave me all-purpose cleaner, but the drydown has become a really nice woody scent with a slightly masculine lean. I love wearing so-called masculine fragrances, and the cedarwood is excellent without smelling like a sauna.

Lionora is pretty, but passion fruit simply isn’t my note.

Also, plenty of hand sanitizer because we’re about to touch and smell ALL THE THINGS. 😂

Ready for day one and WORLD OF CHRIS COLLINS masterclass. Let’s gooooo! 🤩
