It’s that time again...fundraiser time! Thanks to the folks at there’s another nationwide virtual bake sale this week-
I’m offering four different 5in. pies (Boston Cream Pie Pie, S’mores Pie, Pumpkin Pie, and Mixed Berry Pie), because what’s more American than pie and democracy? All of my proceeds will be donated to the Native American Voting Rights Coalition. The first people on this land already face enough obstacles in participating in the process, but now, with COVID and the emphasis on voting by mail, those obstacles have increased exponentially. There’s much more information on my website.
Orders start now for the San Diego area (donations are welcome from anywhere in the country, as per usual), pickup is one week from today on September 28th, and the link is in my bio!

Thank you! Due to your generous contributions, I was able to raise $300 for San Diego Black Nurses Association, Inc.. I so appreciate everyone who ordered cookies or made donations. Working on the virtual bake sale was an excellent learning experience, and I’m so glad I could give to an organization that makes such a big difference here in San Diego.

In the midst of all the things, a new blog post is up! It’s a take on those old fashioned icebox cakes made out of chocolate wafers and Cool Whip. It’s relatively fast and easy, perfect for an afternoon when you don’t have the capacity to handle a whole Thing (but also I promise it’s tasty)

Until the world creates a store-bought gluten free chocolate wafer cookie, we must venture forth to create our own. And then smother them in cream.

The Bakers Against Racism virtual bake sale has officially begun! Here’s how it works! Bake sale orders start Monday, June 15th and pickup will take place this Saturday, June 20th in the Liberty Station area. Any profits I make will be donated to the San Diego Black Nurses Association; racial disparity within healthcare is a huge problem, and this group works hard to correct the imbalance. Check out their site or mine for more information on their incredible work.

I will be offering large, soft black cocoa cookies (think Oreos, but bigger and not dry or crumbly), either as single cookies or as vanilla or peppermint sandwich cookies. If you’d like to purchase some (only local to San Diego for now, sorry, friends), head over to my website! The link will be in my bio all week. As with everything I bake, these cookies are gluten free; they will also be soy and nut free (but I promise they taste awesome). If you don’t want to purchase delicious cookies but you’d still like to contribute, the site also has a donation only option. I will be accepting Venmo and Paypal.

The Bakers Against Racism initiative is a week long fundraiser to benefit BIPOC communities all over the country.

Very excited to be participating in a nationwide bake sale next week with ! Presale orders begin next Monday, June 15th and order pick-ups will happen on June 20th. More information coming soon, such as what I’ll be baking, how to order, and which local organization the proceeds will go to. But for now, all I can say is and we have to do better.
