Not all candles are created equal.
Most of what’s on the shelf is paraffin (or a wax blend made with paraffin), a petroleum byproduct that releases junk into your air when you burn it. Add synthetic fragrance, dyes, and additives on top of that and you’ve got a toxic little situation in your living room.

Our candles are different. Made with pure soy & coconut wax and premium fragrance oils with none of the nasties (like the carcinogens, mutagens, reprotoxic chemicals, PBT’s, acute & organ toxins, phthalates, parabens, etc. typically found in most scented products). No paraffin. No dyes. No additives. Just the necessities, but elevated and intentional. Clean burn. Big scent. That’s the whole point.

If you’ve been hunting for your favorite HLF sniffs lately and haven’t been able to find them, it’s not user error. Happy Little Flame has moved!

In an effort to simplify and continue providing quality scented products to you all in a new season of life for me, I’ve had to make some big changes. Some of you know that this year, I shifted into family health & nutrition coaching, something I’ve felt called to do for quite some time now. Rather than dissolving the candle business and leaving you all without your favorite scented goodies, I’ve changed the way HLF operates. This allows me to focus on my practice and clients, while carving out specific, intentional time for my HLF family too.

Enter La Petite Chandlerie.

La Petite Chandlerie is french for “the little candle shop”. Same clean soy and coconut wax. Same safe, thoughtfully sourced fragrances. Same candles you’ve trusted in your home for the last 9 years. Just a simpler, more intentional way of doing things (and the name isn’t actually changing... HLF products will still be HLF products! The name really just signifies a new structure).

Here’s how it works. Each month I release a small, curated collection called a “drop”. Think of it as the very best of HLF, hand-picked and rotated with the seasons. The shop opens for a short window, then it closes. Every candle ordered during that window is made to order, poured fresh in small batches, just for you. Once the window closes, those scents get tucked away until they eventually come back around.

Everything lives in my Etsy shop now, so the next drop will be waiting for you there. And since these collections come and go, the best thing you can do is get on the list or join the private Facebook Group and head to the new shop and hit Follow (all links in comments!).That way Etsy can give you a little nudge when they come back around, and you’ll never miss a drop!
