September is upon us. I love this month. The fall colors start to reveal themselves. Soon some plants will need to come inside, giving you the living green in the midst of the cold and brown winter. This month will become my annual plant sale. Selling the best ones I have, large and small.

I will be open this Friday and Saturday at regular hours.
After this weekend, I will be open on the 1st and 3rd weeks of each month. Hours will change to OPEN Thursday 3:00-6:00, Friday 10:00- 6:00, Saturday 10:00 - 4:00. You may call to set up a personal opening for another time. Call Jane at 641-919-1493.

Watched the luner eclipse last night for 2 hours. Best show “from” earth. It’s either too late or cloudy to have ever seen this before. It was incredible. Another beautiful day here in Libertyville, Iowa (on Earth) ! Get out today and browse at the shop, ALONG THE WAY. Plants are lining up for September plant sale. And…Gas and Goodies has mango ice cream this week. 2$

Fresh Friday Flowers are now in bloom. See the stunning colors that will brighten your day. These are tiny bouquets made from special zinnia seeds. Enjoy them fresh, save the seeds, and plant in a special pot or place to show off next summer. $3, $4, &5. More fresh flowers to come as the wildflowers are continuing to produce beautiful colors.

Shoppers over this past couple weeks include Rachel and Coach Rick Heller, and one with the best laugh ever, Susie Lund. Susie’s husband coached with Heller, but is now on the Detroit Tigers coaching team.

Great time last Saturday at Libertyville’s 4th of July celebration. Thanks to everyone who participated. The brainchild for this event came from Becky Porter and the employees at Pecks Pub. Through the support of our city counsel and businesses, the efforts paid off. The Last Bell was a great place for kids to run, play, and check out the gardens. A place to set up your lawn chairs and listen to the music and watch fireworks. 🎆For a little town, we did a bang up job. 🎇
