A beautiful day in the neighborhood and look what we have in, new old stock Pixie Kitchen placemats (yes, they opened May 21st, 1953)! We don't know what year (guess is 70's maybe 80's) but they were still sealed in a bundle, so for you true collectors, come (they are SELLING for $15 on EBAY) in and getcha' one!

Today, D-Day is observed (82 years ago) bringing overwhelming memories to the 45,418 living U.S. veterans of WWII, brave men and women who fought a strategically planned and well-executed battle that led to the end of WWII. The rest of us look to their legacy and the rich history of events told through museums and memorials; there is not a more important time for us to remember and honor all as we reflect on D-Day, June 6, 1944.

Happy Friday, it is National Thank You Day in the U.K. and R.E.D. Day (Remember Everyone Deployed) here in the U.S. which puts the best sentiments together. Granny & her Cronies would like to say thank you to each and everyone of you, those that have visited us this year, each of you in our lives and ask that you send prayers of thanks to each and every one of our military for their service and sacrifice, they SO deserve it.
