Got a call to assess some wear damages on an engineered hand-scraped floor. Is it refinishable?
Well here's the before and after to answer that question. After I was done I went ahead and did a "thanks for hiring me, job" sealed all the natural ungaged slate for that nice polished look to match those floors.

Hand scraped engineered hardwood isn't the easiest to refinish. Here's a start to finish i used honey as the color to blend after preping the floors. Hand scraped basically means it's all done by hand when refinishing. Minimal mechanical help. These floors turned out 1000 % better than day one. Hope you enjoy

Before and After carpet/ pad removal. New install memory foam pad and gray carpet. Removed the waterfall install on the staircase and did a full bullnose instead. Looks a lot better

French Cap full wrap install done

Foundation problems were fixed, and then i got the call. After masking the area off, I did some concrete grinding. Then, I applied a self leveling compound and did a little more feathering to the edges. Next was to lay out some v***r barrier before the flooring. Removed all the old base, undercut all my trims and casings. Then, I proceeded with the installation of this beautiful coretec floor. After installation, I cut and installed all new base and caulk.
