If you’re new here, welcome! If you’re one of the 7,800 people who followed along on our old Instagram account, you probably noticed we had to start over. We know you’re probably wondering what happened, and we wanted to fill you in rather than leave you guessing.
We’re big Philly fans around here, especially when it comes to the Philadelphia Eagles. We love carrying unique sports pieces made by independent creators, and through this experience we learned that the Eagles are very protective of their bird gear. They have a number of trademarks they actively enforce, and they felt that some of the “Go Birds” pieces we carried infringed on those trademarks. As a result, our account was reported and permanently disabled.
It was a tough lesson to learn, and we’re truly saddened that it came at the cost of 12 years of memories and the online community we built with you. It was never our intention to infringe upon anyone else’s rights, and we’ve taken this experience as an opportunity to learn. We’re moving forward with a much better understanding of what we need to be mindful of.
Our love for Philly isn’t going anywhere. We still have so many amazing sports-inspired pieces from incredibly talented artists, just with a little more bird-related awareness these days.
You might be wondering the bright side in all this... Well, the Eagles see our content! Honestly, what a compliment. Saquon, if you’re reading this, we love you!!
We’re learning as we go, and yes, there are definitely some growing pains along the way. Thank you for being here, for supporting us, and for helping us build this online community again.
You can expect the same creativity, quality, and connection from this page that you found on our last one. The only difference is that we’ll be yelling “YO BIRDS!” from now on.
