🌩️ IMPORTANT SOULSTICE UPDATE 🌩️

Friends, after watching the forecast evolve over the past several days, we've made the difficult decision to cancel Soulstice in the Park for Saturday, June 20th.

We always say "rain or shine"...

Unfortunately, nobody mentioned "pavilion-flipping winds, hail, and possible tornadoes." 😅

While we're generally willing to negotiate with Mother Nature, 50+ MPH winds and severe weather are where we draw the line. The safety of our vendors, volunteers, performers, guests, four-legged friends, and community members has to come first.

Trust us when we say this wasn't an easy decision. We've poured months of planning, excitement, creativity, and heart into this event, and we know many of you were looking forward to spending the day together.

💜 To our vendors: Thank you for your flexibility, patience, and support.

💜 To our volunteers: Thank you for showing up for this community, even when the weather had other plans.

💜 To our attendees: Thank you for being part of what makes SoulFest and Soulstice so special.

While we can't control the weather, we can choose to take care of one another—and that's exactly what we're doing.

For now, we encourage everyone to stay safe, stay weather-aware, and maybe send a strongly worded letter to the storm system on our behalf. 🌪️

We'll be sharing additional information in the coming days, including plans for vendors and future events.

Thank you for being part of this wonderful community. We may not get our day in the park this weekend, but the connections, creativity, and spirit that make Soulstice special aren't going anywhere.

Stay safe, friends. We'll see you again soon. 🌿✨

Now that Jess and I have had a little bit of time to recover from the Ren Faire, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude to everyone who came out and supported us these past few weekends. We spoke with so many people who shared their experiences with our candles and I can't tell you how much it means to us to hear that people just love them so much. We really do put our heart and soul into everything we make. We made a decision for this show to add in canvas tote bags to our expanding list of handmade products. I made it my little project and enlisted the help of friends to find fun designs that people (nerds) like me would want to see. Cut to Jess and I fighting over counter space while we're both desperately trying to restock, Jess with a blow torch and a line of candles and me with a heat press and a stack of iron on vinyl. Every second we were not working our full time jobs or sleeping (the little sleep we were able to get) we were making more things for the Faire.

The Faire itself was great! We had fantastic weather, minus the rain/flooding/mud the last Saturday night. Our new neighbors Kristen and Jennie Kaminski with Chapter Lust Books brought so many fantastic products to pair with spicy novels as well as the coolest looking dice towers and book ends. If you need a beard balm, Jennie's husband makes a very high quality product. I know we had quite a few people looking for them the third weekend and we hope they can hang out with us all three weekends next year.

Overall, we're sad it's over but we're so happy we get to sleep in on Saturday. I am very grateful for the support we have been given by so many people and even more grateful to have a business partner that is so dedicated to creating and building this little company with me. Our next show announcement is coming soon!
