I finished my ‘Favorite Things’ story rug. It has horses and dogs and cats, a blue heron that used to visit my pond and of course a Christmas tree, why you can even see my French horn in the corner. I made this to go on the foot of my king size bed, so I had plenty of drawing room. These are easy and fun to draw, a good use of leftovers and you know I love a story rug. Those of you who know me, have heard my contention that fall starts August 15. It is officially summer's end (in my mind). The kids are going back to school, we occasionally get a reprieve from heat and humidity here in Nebraska, and it is time to start thinking about pumpkins, scarecrows, witches and ghosts. Therefore, with only days until my official fall start time, I am going to start offering some FALL finished rugs for sale. Here is day three of our rug hooking workshop with Diane Stoffel. Donkey love is my project, Brenda Carlson did the Santa, Leisa Hillman the heron, Elaine Hirter the rabbit, Diane Johnson the squirrel, Sue Hutchinson the witch and Deb Gowen Virchow the horse.
