A big Thank You to the Ameritas Creative Team for coming to paint with us at Urban Legends Art. They each put their individual twist on Van Gogh's Sunflowers. And they were all masterpieces.

From Kay and Connie: It was wonderful to see some familiar Ameritas faces.

Thank you to the Nebraska Arts Council and Lincoln Arts Council for the “Aging Partner” grant to teach seniors the creative fun of Alcohol Ink art.

So far we’ve learned how science meets art by manipulating the inks with high concentration of isopropyl alcohol. Like water is to watercolor-rubbing alcohol is to the inks. We have experimented with many colors, blending on special YUPO paper and have moved onward to recycled tile. During this six session class, I can’t wait to see how many pieces are we create before our art show in October. Stay tuned for some fantastic masterpieces!
