Kimball Recital Hall at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln has been reimagined for the future ✨

Originally built in the 1970s, the venue underwent a full renovation and lobby expansion to enhance the visitor experience and modernize performance spaces. Upgrades included improved insulation, a new roof, and bird-friendly glass to address long-standing building issues.

Inside, the expanded lobby boosts circulation and event flexibility while honoring the original structure. The recital hall now features improved accessibility, new seating and finishes, upgraded lighting and acoustics, and enhanced AV capabilities.

Back-of-house and stage areas were also transformed, with safer layouts, new equipment, and improved performer comfort.

This revitalized space ensures Kimball Hall will continue to serve students, artists, and audiences for decades to come. 🎶

We’re proud to join Bryan Health in celebrating the incredible impact Jim and Wade have made in healthcare design. We’re equally grateful for everything they’ve contributed to our firm over the years.

The fingerprints of Jim and Wade Stange can be found all over Bryan Medical Center. Collectively, the father and son worked on architectural projects at Bryan for over 60 years. Today, Wade volunteers at Bryan as a wayfinder, guiding guests around the hallways that he and his dad helped design.

✈️ A Legacy of Partnership at the Lincoln Airport
The Lincoln Airport Passenger Terminal, completed in 1973, marked the beginning of a long and successful partnership between Davis Design and the Lincoln Airport Authority.
Designed with flexibility in mind, the “new” terminal offered over 102,000 square feet of open, welcoming space for travelers, airport staff, and administrative offices—setting the stage for decades of growth and service.
Since then, Davis Design has been proud to contribute to several impactful projects at the Lincoln Airport, continuing to support its evolution and success.

⚾️ Welcome to the next level of training.
Davis Design was excited to partner with Elkhorn Training Camp on their second facility. The Gretna Training Camp is a 33,000 sq. ft. indoor facility built to elevate athletes year round—featuring 21 cutting edge batting cages, six massive training zones, and the X Edge strength & agility program for speed, power, and performance.

With flexible, game like training spaces and an open mezzanine for coaches, scouts, and families, this is where development meets opportunity.

🚨Finished Project - Coming Soon!
Construction is nearing completion on Lift Solutions, Inc. (LSI)’s new office headquarters and warehouse. The 9,300-square-foot, two story office features a modern design with abundant natural light. The 78,500-square-foot precast warehouse includes 10 forklift service bays capable of servicing up to 20 forklifts simultaneously. Final pictures to come in a few months!
